Featured members of the night: Amelia and Greg, owners of The Donis Hot Sauce. The attendees were delighted, not only by receiving in advance a sample of the sauce of their choice but also sharing how they started their business, the challenges and successes to this day.

Attendees were very supportive of these young entrepreneurs by providing ideas and contacts that might help to expand their business.

Chamber Hosts Rilling for Mayor Fundraiser

Chamber Hosts Rilling for Mayor Fundraiser

In the weeks leading up to Election Day, we showed our support for then candidate and now Mayor Harry Rilling, by partnering with his campaign committee on a lunch fundraiser and meet n’ greet with Chamber members, friends, and family. Thank you to Chamber member Capri’s Cuisine for catering, Board President Mariella Castagnet for hosting, and Hector Pachas for photography.

Why Rilling for Mayor?

Under Rilling’s three terms of leadership, Norwalk has moved into the future with a particularly robust Downtown economy, including the art, restaurant, and retail sectors; and Urban Core neighborhoods in the midst of transformative redevelopment initiatives. He has helped us welcome several new Latino and Hispanic-owned businesses, cutting the ribbon for Chamber members Rene Soto Gallery, Avenida Venezuelan Food, and La Calle Arepas Bar. Rilling has also received the endorsement of other business and labor groups including: Connecticut AFL-CIO Western Connecticut Area Labor Federation, United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Norwalk Police Union, and Norwalk Firefighters Union.
